About Me

My name is Prescott Lawani. I am a man of many talents. Software, Web and Game Development and Design. Art and Music.
But, my main focus is my games, which you can access by clicking the Games Icon in the top corner.

When I was very young, I played Super Mario Brothers and Zelda I and II. I also played a lot of beat em up games with my broher and sisters in the arcades
Some of my favorite games were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men, and the Simpsons, which we played from beginning to end. We spent a LOT of quarters
As I got older I started playing Mortal Kombat. I didn't know about tournaments back then, but I was very good at the game from the start. My main was Lui Kang

Playing games was very fun, it defined me. I started drawing rudementary comic books by hand to tell stories, which were blantant rip offs of the stories I read before
as well as saw on TV and games. But the thing I did that made them original was make my own Battle System, a series of cards, dice, statistics, move sets, etc, that I gave
my 100+ characters to make them distinctive. The comic was eventually called Magick Trip, and I drew it from the 5th grade until my sophomore year in college.
It was a lot of fun and resulted in getting me a lot of friends who wanted to be characters in my storylines that I eventually originated.
I didn't just draw though. In school, I loved Math, Football, Music, and Technology. I became a certified Microsoft Office Specialist in high school and got my BA in Art and Technology
from UTD when I grew up.

In my teens, there was this amazing game, which looked like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past, but it was ONLINE! MULTIPLAYER! It was so much fun. I had dial-up internet and
used the lag to win in PVP and other adventures. It was called Graal Online and many people still remember it. My favorite part though was the Single Player Mod mode. I didn't play Doom
So I didn't end up in the modding community, but I did learn the basics of the C Programming language with Graal. I drew my own characters and objects and added functionality with the code.

In 2015, I got into a serious relationship. By this time, my life had taken a turn and I found myself doing delivery driving jobs and music. My girlfriend at the time, saw me making
a video game in RPG Maker and she said I should be making games for a living. By this time, I had applied, quite often, to Gearbox Software. They never accepted me and only "hired" me for
Beta Testing roles (unpaid by the way, but I did get swag which was cool.) So, it wasn't until she said this that I decided to take games even more seriously. No one ever told me I could do it
I'm greatful for the role she played in my life. We aren't together anymore but she is my best friend.

In 2020, things got crazy from the pandemic. I decided to take the downtime to make a serious commercial game. After 3 years of learning and developing in Unreal Engine,
I released Lockes The Thief. I learned quite a bit from the product. I learned the importance of marketing (a big one) and made a few friends and aquaintances along the way.
I tried to make a 2nd game, but nothing has grabbed me quite like that first one. So, I'm going back to the drawing board for how to approach Game Development.

My goal is to become a full time game dev, either by getting offered a job or finding the keys to indie success.
I just recently started an internship at a company called Castix LLC, so my hope is that they will guide me in the direction I need.

some of my most recent work. I look forward to talking with all of you. I plan on going in hard in the year 2026. Let's see where it leads me.
